In college, a chance elective started me down the path to plant science. After college, I managed a garden center in Columbia for 10 years, but children and life took more time than I had anticipated and I took a step back for a while. When life settled down, at least for a little bit, I went back to work as a private horticulturist for a local family that wanted help taking care of their greenhouses and properties. 

 

That was fine for a while, but I continually had this dream of owning my own garden nursery. I would always drive by this “abandoned” greenhouse on South Nursery Road and it kept calling out my name. One day I answered back and decided to take a look at it to see if it was a fit for me. After some consideration, in 2012, I took a leap of faith and bought the garden center, and, as they say, the rest is history.

 

Since then, I have continued to add new items, vintage décor, outdoor planters, indoor flower pots, and the most unusual and hard-to-find houseplants, succulents, and landscape plants and shrubs anywhere around.
